DEF

A stream crossing structure which spans the stream's bankfull channel.

CONT

Clear-Span Bridges. - This Operational Statement applies to the construction of only those small-scale bridge structures that completely span a watercourse without altering the stream bed or bank, and that are a maximum of two lanes wide. A clear-span bridge is often more preferred than a culvert as no structures are placed on the stream bed or banks.

CONT
